This movie is about a woman named Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) who exposed PG&E for knowingly allowing carcinogenic elements into the groundwater of a small community and then covering it up when members of the community started suffering and dying from the effects of cancer. Erin Brockovich's tenacity and hard work was instrumental in what resulted in the largest settlement in a direct class action law suit in the US.
